MY BOOK

I spent from February 24th to November 11th, 2022 hiding from the Russians during their occupation of Kherson, Ukraine. So I wrote a book about the experience.

Walking Past Tombstones isn’t the typical take on the Russian invasion. Sure, there’s plenty of instances of the military aspect of the war (including the day the FSB raided the house I was staying in and marched me up the stairs with a gun to my head), but mostly it’s about the day-to-day aspects of survival.

It’s written in the easy, humorous style of my blog posts here, and music plays a big part in my keeping my sanity.

Think of it as the Temu The Diary of Anne Frank but with a happy ending.

For $6 (e-book version), it’s a risk worth taking.
